Every piece of clothing we have with us is filthy. We’ve been arriving too late in the day lately to risk getting things dry overnight. So this morning is a late getaway as we wait for the washing to dry. The unglamorous side of Camino.
We don’t get away till 12, when we head up the ridge west of Brengues. It’s a fantastic single track trail along the cliff tops and faces of the Cele Valley. It’s hard work in the heat however, pushing down at St Sulpice to see the town carved into the cliffs and then back up to the ridge line again.
The heat again makes it hard going but 100% worth it, the views are amazing.
It doesn’t take long for us to drift in to Marcilhac and get set up at a riverside campsite, it’s a pretty little area tucked away in the shade. Tomorrow is a long journey to Cabrerets.
